One of my goals this year has been to start up a Moodle page. Haven't gotten around to it, so I'm going to try to have it started for this upcoming semester. We'll see if it happens! Hopefully it will.

I've checked out Diggs before. Don;t really use them all that much. I have also been exposed to wikis. They can be quite useful for a class. Especially if students are very active in using them. I don't know how much students in a high school class will use them, but they are very useful in online classes.

Just checked out del.icio.us. Looks not bad. Not sure how much I'll use it. Might come in handy when looking for an animation or a chem vid.

RSS Feeds

I just looked at the RSS feeds. I consider myself as someone that keeps up with technology, but not with RSS. I remember seeing RSS buttons years ago and not learning about them. Now I know how to use them. I don't check many blogs, so I am not sure that I will use RSS very much. I suppose they can be good if you find an excellent education related blog to bring ideas into the classroom. Although, I wonder if I will actually use it. I have tried other outside sources for ideas too, and it seems that I just never have time.

Habits of a Learner

For the 7 1/2 habits of a life-long learner I'd say that my strength is accepting a problem as a challenge. I like to solve puzzles and test myself. The hardest for me is to play when I am wrapped up in a problem...I usually like to solve it.
